Okay, I know I'm an 8x loser with actually bringing home a Chambers but I know I'm going to get one soon, need a griddle anyway, and just found a great deal on a heavy all clad type that measures 10 inches by 19 inches.
If it's not too much trouble, would somebody please tell me the maximum size griddle I can buy that will still fit into the opening for it. I think the original aluminum one may be 10X18 or a squidge less, but am hoping maybe there's a little wiggle room.
Many thanks!

BC, the inside measurements on my B (the one you need to buy, see Brooklyn post) are 11 x 20 3/4. The griddle, itself, measures 10 3/4 x 20 1/4. So there's a half inch leeway front to back and a 1/4 inch leeway side to side between the original griddle and the stove.

Cupcakes,
I purchased a griddle that was the size you are talking about. I took a 1/8" piece of aluminum that was 11" wide and pu it across the back. This holds the narrow griddle just fine. When I am not using it, I stow the griddle and put the piece of aluminum in the broiler.
Good luck on your search.... We purchased a Model B, restored it... and are very happy with it...
